Updated: Jan 28

Clubhouse is now worth $1 billion without a website, just a beta-version social media app from Silicon Valley. Voice-based quick room-to-room communication is explored across the platform.

Jin Wooyu, Co-Founder of Surkus and Chief Growth Officer of Vezt.co | The World's First Blockchain Music Royalty Marketplace.

Going into the 3rd minute into the podcast, Jin clarifies that he is not a social media expert but a tech investor and builder of companies. "My background is in experiential event marketing" he says, "so for 15 years I threw parties; red carpets...and helped to build communities around the products".

He gained great insight of consumer protection and tech innovation with brands and consumers scaling businesses from a million-dollar idea to a current evaluation of 300 million inside of three years.

This is a fast and powerful conversational app built by Founders, Paul Davison and Rohan Seth from Silicon Valley. An exclusive new audio-chat app, Clubhouse, is a hit with music executives, entrepreneurs, creatives, and so much more interested in the social app. There are only a few articles noting this new audio wave and if you're reading this, it's too late! 😃

Fun Fact: Clubhouse doesn't yet have a website and only counts about 1,500 users, but it's generating buzz for bringing celebrities together with venture capitalists.

"experiential (event) marketing" is a marketing technique that creates experiences between brands and consumers. Experiential campaigns use an activation (for example product sampling, immersive experiences, stunts, events, etc.) to bring brands to life and interact directly with the target audience.

Fun Fact #2: Jin got invited by a friend to the Clubhouse app thinking it was a dating app like Tinder.

Jin manages TikTok's viral brand owner of the #wipeitdownchallenge, and long-time friend Lauren Compton, using social media as the socio-ecosystem to build more fluent and virtual events hosting over 85 virtual talks over the COVID-19 Pandemic. He moderates talks and brought in various social media influencers and thinkers by synthesizing as a creator and not a translator.
